Fleury Rosé de Saignée NV

This cuvée has a bright ruby tinted colour, with
delightful aromas of fresh red fruits, blackcurrants and plum pie. On the palate the wine is vinous and rich with ripe red fruit and a long finish.

100% Pinot Noir from 30 year-old vines. This 'Rosé de Saignée' is produced by a short maceration
of the grapes before pressing (contrary to the blending method of most rosé Champanges).
Winemaking in thermoregulated tanks and malolactic fermentation is allowed.

The Fleury domaine was founded in 1895 in Courteron, a village located in Côte des Bar in the southern region of Champagne. Back in 1989 they became the first Champagne producer to be certified biodynamic. Their 10 plots of land covering 15 hectares are planted with 85% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay, with the remaining land growing Pinot Meunier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Blanc (the latter two a rare sight in Champagne in recent times).
