Welcome to cuvée, here you can find some of the best sparkling wines in the world, from the likes of well-known high-quality Champagne houses, to lovingly crafted local Australian cuvées. In fact, we are the only shop in Australia dedicated entirely to the world of Champagne and sparkling wine!
We are incredibly passionate about sparkling wine, and we think it’s honestly one of the more exciting wine styles in the world. There is a good reason people have seen sparkling wine as a sign of celebration for over a century!
However sparkling wine isn’t just for celebration, it’s really an ‘everyday’ wine, and we would love to see people enjoying sparkling wine anytime, regardless of occasion. We have curated our shop to illustrate the diversity of this fantastic style.
Sparkling wine is also one of the most challenging wines to produce. When produced using méthode traditionnelle, or the Champagne method, wine is made twice, first as a still wine, and then as a sparkling wine in the bottle. There are then long and demanding requirements for aging of the bottles, both during the time it takes for the sparkle to be made, but also afterwards, particularly in Champagne.
We think sparkling wine is a stunning union between the environment and the skills of the winemaker.
Most people would recognise Champagne as being the global home of sparkling wine, however In recent years, Australia has been producing increasingly high-quality and exciting sparkling wines, and great examples can be found in almost every state, and particularly from cold climate regions such as Tasmania.
Our aim is to showcase all these fantastic wines and wonderful producers from around the world all together, as a one-stop-shop for all things Champagne and sparkling wine here in Australia.

Chris Frangou
A long-time musician and music producer with numerous accolades and world-wide touring behind him, recent years has seen Chris venture into his other passion, wine, and in particular sparkling wine. This has seen him work as a Sommelier at Chris Lucas's highly anticipated new restaurant and one of Australia's greatest destinations for wine, Society, and now as Sommelier at 5-Star Hotel QT Melbourne. It has also sparked his desire to deliver and celebrate quality sparkling wines from around the world with the launch of cuvée.
