Eleni & Edouard Vocoret 'Le Bas de Chapelot' Chablis 2022

Eleni and Edouard Vocoret are a young couple with Chablis truly in their veins. The couple started the Domaine in 2013, beginning their journey by buying 5 hectares of vineyards from the Vocoret family.

Together Eleni & Edouard are a winemaking power couple, bringing together generations of history and experience from the region's highest regarded producers. Eleni's background saw her working with one of the most iconic producers in Chablis, Vincent Dauvissat, and Edouard hailed from one of the most well-known and traditional wine-making families in town, the owners of Domaine Vocoret.

'Le Bas de Chapelot' translates to english as 'the Bottom of Chapelot', and Chapelot being a region of the famous Premier Cru 'Monte de Tonnerre', a site only a few meters from the Grand Cru 'Les Clos' which allows it to share extremely similar soil and sun exposure. 

The 'Bas de Chapelot' plot has deeper soil than the Premier Cru of Chapelot providing it with more richness. In the 2022 vintage it was noticeable that the fruit was ripened earlier so the wine has a stone fruit flavour profile.
