Larmandier-Bernier Latitude Blanc de Blancs NV
One of our absolute favourite Champagnes here at cuvée! Latitude exhibits a wonderful balance of pristine acidity, freshness, richness and complexity, characters usually found in wines many times its price.
In the past, this cuvée was known as Tradition, a name chosen in the 1970s by Pierre Larmandier parents. The name Latitude was chosen to characterise better this very round cuvée, with its rich and charming style. It is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes which all come from the same 'latitude': the south of Vertus. A generous terroir and grapes picked fully ripe: the Latitude cuvée is the festive Champagne par excellence, which nonetheless retains the characteristic purity of the estate’s Champagnes.
This non-vintage cuvée contains 40% of wines coming from the estate’s perpetual reserve started in 2004.
Vegan Friendly.
The Larmandier-Bernier estate is located in the Côte des Blancs, in the very heart of Champagne.
Since the 19th century, the Larmandier family have been cultivating their vines in the premier and grand cru vinyards of the Côte des Blancs. Chalk is the keystone of these great terroirs and Larmandier-Bernier strive for wines that express this in the purest way possible.
Larmandier-Bernier are still family owned, and are proudly farming biodynamic across their entire estate, and they utilise indigenous yeasts for fermentation of all their wines.
Continuing their ethos of minimal intervention, there is no fining or filtering of their cuvées.
