Billecart-Salmon Nicolas Francois 2008 - Magnum
The Nicolas Francois cuvée was created in 1964 and it's named after the House's founder. This exceptional champagne is made with a blend of Grands Cru Chardonnay vineyards from the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims.
It is no doubt that Billecart-Salmon has been making delightful champagnes for decades, and this particular cuvee from 2008 is easily considered the best vintage in the past 20 years - not to mention that everything tastes even better in a Magnum.
Based in the town of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Billecart-Salmon is one of the most renowned and highly regarded Champagne houses today. It all started in 1818 when Nicolas François Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon were married, marking the creation of their Champagne house. Since then there has been over 7 generations dedicated to bringing exceptional cuvées to the world, and the house remains family owned to this day.
